President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged the government’s commitment to supporting the establishment of local tourism in Kinolhas.

During his visit to the island in Raa Atoll, he acknowledged the community's interest in pursuing tourism with a unique approach and emphasised the government’s readiness to assist in achieving this goal.

As part of the initiative, plans are in place to extend water and sanitation services to the area designated for local tourism, enabling Kinolhas to integrate into the tourism sector effectively.

The President also highlighted his administration’s focus on bringing development to the island, with improvements planned in health, education, and sports. This visit is part of the President’s broader tour of Raa Atoll, aimed at addressing the needs and priorities of local communities.
