Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar has officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Secretariat building for R Kinolhas.

The ceremony was held as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing visit to R Atoll. Over the three-day visit, the President has engaged with island councils, women’s development committees, and heads of institutions to identify development needs and priorities.

The President will visit a total of 11 islands during this trip.
