The Maldives Immigration has deported a foreign national involved in a fight at the Artificial Beach on 6th December last year. The clash, involving a group of Indian nationals, raised concerns about public safety.

The 25-year-old man identified as the leader of the incident was arrested with help from the police. On 16th December, Immigration shared his photo on X and confirmed steps were being taken to deport him. He was officially deported on 5th January, according to Immigration Controller Shamaan Waheed.

In another incident at the same beach last Friday, three Indian nationals were arrested for attacking a local. They are now in immigration custody, and efforts are underway to deport them as well.

Controller Shamaan stated that foreign nationals who disrupt public peace will face strict action, including deportation, to ensure the safety of the community.
