Maldives Immigration has stated that they are in the process of deporting three individuals arrested in connection with a fight involving expatriates at the Artificial Beach area in Male' last night.

The police arrested three Indian men last night in relation to the fight at the Artificial Beach.

In a post on X tonight, Immigration Controller Mohamed Shamaan said that all three individuals involved in the fight are now under Immigration custody and the process of deporting them is underway. The Controller also stated that no further opportunities will be given to expatriates who engage in such acts that endanger public interest.

According to the police, these expatriates also attacked a Maldivian who was recording the fight on video.

A similar incident involving expatriates fighting at the Artificial Beach also occurred last December.
