President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has returned to Malé after making history as the first Maldivian President to visit Estonia. Invited by Estonian President Dr Alar Karis, the visit focused on strengthening ties between the two countries.

The trip began with a welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace, where the two leaders held discussions about enhancing cooperation. President Muizzu also met with Estonian officials, academics, and business leaders, exploring ways to work together on shared goals.

During the visit, three agreements were signed to promote collaboration in climate change, political dialogue, and digital governance. President Muizzu also visited key Estonian institutions, gaining insights into their progress in technology and sustainability.

This visit supports President Muizzu’s vision to transform the Maldives through digital innovation and climate resilience, building stronger partnerships for a sustainable future.
