President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has shared his vision of creating a digitally-driven Maldives during a roundtable discussion with the Estonian Digital Advisory Council. He emphasised building a government that prioritises accessibility, sustainability, and empowering all citizens through technology.

The Maldivian delegation, joined by tech experts, learned from Estonia’s success in digital transformation. President Muizzu highlighted the importance of ensuring technology benefits every Maldivian, no matter where they live.

Estonian President Dr Alar Karis praised his country’s digital achievements and encouraged collaboration with the Maldives to promote innovation and growth. The Estonian council offered to support the Maldives by sharing their expertise, improving services, and guiding the country’s digital development.

The meeting, held at the PoCo Pop And Contemporary Art Museum in Tallinn, ended with a museum tour led by IT expert Mr Linnar Viik, who shared insights into Estonia’s digital journey.
