President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, on an official visit to the Republic of Estonia, visited the e-Estonia Briefing Centre in Tallinn on Tuesday. He was warmly received by Ms Triin Joasaare, Head of the Centre, and Mr Joonas Vänto, Acting Head of the International Services Division and Director of the Estonian Investment Agency, Enterprise Estonia.

The Maldives delegation attended a comprehensive presentation on Estonia's remarkable digital transformation journey. The briefing showcased the country's pioneering achievements in e-governance and digital society, including groundbreaking systems like e-residency, digital ID, e-taxation, and secure data exchange through the X-Road framework.

The visit highlights the Maldives' interest in leveraging digital technologies to advance governance and societal development. President Dr Muizzu is visiting Estonia at the invitation of His Excellency Dr Alar Karis, President of Estonia, accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes representatives from the Maldivian tech community.
