Maldives Police Service has said that while 37 people have been arrested in two residential houses in Male’ City, nothing inside the houses were damaged during the operation.

Police said that 37 people were arrested with 81 rubber packets of suspected drugs from Galolhu Pelican and Galolhu Memory Villa in a special drug operation on 26 May 2019.

And both houses had steel doors to impede the police and the officers entered both properties through the doors after sawing through it. Police said that nothing inside the houses were damaged.

The Police said that the video circulating with allegations that officers damaged the properties are an effort by a group of people against the drug operations by the Maldives Police Service.
