President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Government will announce for a contractor for GDh. Nadella's harbour development.

Speaking during a meeting with local residents, President Dr Muizzu revealed that the harbour construction would begin later this year.

In addition to the harbour, the President emphasised that the project would address the issue of erosion on the island. The development aims to improve infrastructure and support sustainable growth for the community.

President Dr Muizzu also outlined a range of other improvements planned for the island. These include expanding the school and health centre facilities, completing the construction of the football field, and building a new youth centre along with a volleyball court.

Furthermore, the President announced that ATMs would be introduced in the village this year. He noted that, over the next year, ATM facilities would be expanded to other villages that currently lack them, ensuring wider access to banking services for local residents.
