President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that tenders for constructing housing units on all islands promised during the presidential election will be opened by the end of this month.
Speaking during his visit to Hondedhoo island, President Dr Muizzu emphasised that the budgets for this year and the next have been specifically designed to initiate the implementation of his campaign pledges. He highlighted housing as a top priority, with this year's budget heavily focused on housing development.
As part of the 2025 budget, a housing project will be launched in Hondedhoo. The President stated that he has instructed the Finance Minister to ensure all housing projects announced are tendered by end of this month.
President Dr Muizzu reiterated that his administration is committed to delivering on its promises, with fulfilling campaign pledges being the core focus of the government's agenda. He described this year's budget as one dedicated to the realisation of those commitments.
