A fire has broken out in a house in Galolhu, Male'.

MNDF (Maldives National Defence Force) said tonight that the fire occurred on the sixth floor of G. Ufuriyaa.

MNDF stated that the Fire and Rescue Service has begun operations in response to the fire incident at the house.

A "One" journalist active in the area said that the fire was on the sixth floor of the building where Galolhu Ihusaan Fihaara is located, and that the fire has now been brought under control.

It is not yet clear if anyone was injured in this fire incident.
