The new High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Retired) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, presented his Letters of Credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu in a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Monday morning.

The High Commissioner was ceremonially escorted from Republic Square to the President’s Office in a cultural procession called “Haiykolhu,” accompanied by the MNDF Drum and Trumpet Band.

President Dr Muizzu accepted the Letters of Credence, welcoming the High Commissioner to his new role. Following the formalities, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and collaborate on mutual interests, including climate change, health, tourism, and trade.

The High Commissioner also praised President Dr Muizzu and the Maldives for their steadfast support of the Palestinian people.
