President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced today that contractors will be sought this month for all the housing projects in the islands that he had promised and outlined in his manifesto.

The President made this announcement while speaking at a meeting with the residents of K. Gulhi.

The President said that this year will be the year when the most housing projects are implemented in a single year to solve the housing problem. He also said that housing projects will be carried out in the coming years on islands where land has been reclaimed and space has been increased.

"This year is a year of housing. We will make 2025 a year of housing. This month, we will announce to find contractors who will practically carry out all the housing projects that I have promised, that have been allocated in the budget, that were outlined in the manifesto during the campaign, to be implemented in the islands. This January," the President said.

In today's ceremony, the President also stated that he will triple the pace of the Ras Male' project, the largest project being carried out by this government to solve the housing problem.

"Land reclamation is currently underway. We are working to mobilize dredgers from additional companies to start multiple projects simultaneously. So the speed will double or triple," the President said.
