The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of Aminath Namza as Chairperson and Ibrahim Nasreen as Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM).

Nasreen takes over as Managing Director following the resignation of his predecessor, Mohamed Saeed, last week. Saeed did not disclose any reasons for stepping down. Nasreen, who has a long history with PSM, previously served as the company’s Sales and Marketing Director.

This marks another change in leadership at PSM under the current government. Zeena Zahir, the first Managing Director appointed during this administration, resigned in August.

Namza, the newly appointed Chairperson, has an extensive background in media, having started as a TVM presenter in 2001 with the programme Tourism Unlimited. She has also held government roles, most recently as a Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Local Government and previously in the Ministry of Gender.
