Former Finance Minister Dr Mohamed Shafeeq has been appointed as a board member of the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), according to the Privatization and Corporatisation Board (PCB). His appointment was confirmed on 2 December.
Dr Shafeeq previously served as the finance head of HDFC before taking on the role of Finance Minister in the current government. He resigned from the ministerial position on 30 September this year.
Following his resignation, Moosa Zameer, a former Foreign Minister in the current government, was appointed as the new Finance Minister.
