Several senior members of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) management have been suspended in connection with an investigation into the allocation of land plots to individuals not included in the Binveriyaa scheme.

All board members of HDC, except for Chairman Ahmed Nasif, have been suspended today. This includes Managing Director Fazul Rasheed.

In addition to the board, "One" has learned that Chief Financial Officer Abdullah Faaidh, IT Consultant Abdullah Shuhoodh, Chief Business Officer and Head of Media Department Ahmed Yaameen, and Estate Deputy Director Ahmed Aiman have also been suspended.

Police entered HDC premises yesterday as part of this investigation.

Police stated today that they are investigating a case of suspected document forgery. This investigation was initiated by the police based on information they received. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is also investigating the matter.

As the ACC began its investigation, Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef has ordered both the police and ACC to conduct a criminal investigation into the Gedhoruverin and Binveriyaa scheme issues.

Fazeel has been determined to be ineligible for a plot in Hulhumale under the scheme. However, Fazeel submitted an application to HDC on June 30 for permission to build a boundary wall, along with what he claimed was the plot's registry.

HDC then sent this to the Housing Ministry to verify the authenticity of the registry. In addition to Fazeel, a person named Abdul Majid Mahir, registered in HA. Dhidhdhoo, also applied for permission.

In a letter allegedly sent by HDC to the Housing Ministry regarding this case, it was noted that permission was sought to build boundary walls for two 1,250 square foot plots allocated to two individuals. The letter included details of these two parties.

A response letter from the Housing Ministry has also circulated on social media. In this letter addressed to HDC's Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed, State Minister of Housing Ibrahim Nizam stated that according to the scheme's database, these two parties are not among those who applied for land under the Binverin scheme.

In relation to this issue, MWSC has suspended Fazeel from all responsibilities today and barred him from entering the office. According to "One", Fazeel did not report to the office today.
