Mohamed Saeed, the Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM), has resigned.

Saeed was appointed as the Managing Director of PSM on August 24 this year. This was following the resignation of the previous Managing Director, Zeena Zahir.

According to available information, Saeed resigned this evening, just a week shy of completing four months in the position. However, as neither PSM nor PCB has made an official statement yet, the reason for Saeed's resignation is not clear.

At the time of Saeed's resignation from the position of Managing Director of PSM, two issues related to the media organization had recently escalated.

One issue was related to the live broadcast of an event attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, where a portion of a Quranic verse was omitted. The other issue occurred during the English news broadcast last Tuesday night, where a nude image of a person was accidentally shown.
