The council of ADh. Kunburudhoo has requested President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to find a solution for the housing issue in the island.
During a meeting held with the Kunburudhoo Council and the Women's Development Committee in ADh. Maamigili, as part of the President's ongoing trip to the atolls, the council expressed concern that it has been 15 years since a Maldivian President last visited their island.
The council highlighted the need to improve the condition of the island's school and expand the harbor. They also emphasized the need for a solution to the waste collection and disposal issue, and the desire to strengthen the sports sector on the island. Furthermore, the council pointed out that housing is the most crucial and urgent need for the people of Kunburudhoo.
In this meeting, the President assured that the promises he made would be fulfilled and that he would look into and address the overall issues raised by the council.
The ministers accompanying the President at today's meeting shared the latest information on the ongoing development projects in Kunburudhoo.
