Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has reiterated the Government’s commitment to upgrading Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital to a tertiary-level facility, fulfilling a promise made by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
During the inauguration of MRI services at the hospital, the minister stated that he was confident the upgrade would happen due to the President’s dedication to fulfilling his pledges and the strong demand from the people of Ungoofaaru. He noted that President Dr Muizzu has demonstrated tireless efforts in delivering on his commitments during their time working together.
The minister further mentioned that the Health Ministry would evaluate the necessary steps to transform the hospital into a tertiary-level facility. He highlighted the introduction of MRI services as an important milestone in this process.
Minister Nazim expressed gratitude to the hospital staff and local residents for their efforts in advancing the hospital’s development and assured them of the Government’s continued focus on improving healthcare facilities in the region.
