The People's Majlis has gone on recess from today after completing 73.3 percent of the work for this session, which marks the end of the third session of this year and the second session of the 20th People's Majlis.

Concluding today's session, Speaker of the Parliament Abdulraheem Abdulla said that the Majlis has done important work during this session.

He said that a total of 27 sessions were held during this period, with a total of 67 hours spent in these sessions.

Looking at the committee work, he mentioned that a total of 165 committee meetings were held, spending a total of 118 hours in these committee meetings.

During this session, the Majlis processed 20 bills, one resolution, 13 issues submitted by the government, five issues presented by the chair, and four urgent matters. Additionally, 13 questions were posed to ministers, and seven reports related to other issues were completely finalized, he said.

"I hope your holiday period will be a peaceful, safe, joyful, and pleasant one. When you return from the recess to resume the Majlis work, I hope all members will come back with new thoughts and ideas, refreshed, to participate in the Majlis work and carry out productive and constructive work. With this hope, I conclude the session," the Speaker said.
