The AA. Rasdhoo Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) commended the Government’s ongoing initiatives during a meeting with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu this afternoon at the Rasdhoo Island Council Secretariat. The council specifically praised the Administration’s housing initiatives, recognising their positive impact on the island.
During the meeting, council members outlined key development priorities for Rasdhoo, including the need for coastal protection, the construction of 50 additional housing units, and arrangements to supply ice to support local fishermen.
In response, President Dr Muizzu assured the council that his Administration remains committed to addressing these concerns. He emphasised that the Government would work to fulfil his pledges while supporting initiatives that promote economic growth for the island.
The President and Cabinet Ministers also provided updates on developmental projects planned for Rasdhoo, reinforcing the Administration’s focus on sustainable and community-driven progress. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Government and local councils in achieving shared goals for the island’s future.
