President Dr Mohamed Muizzu visited Thoddhoo as part of his official tour of several islands in AA Atoll. During the visit, he met with the Thoddhoo Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee to discuss the island’s development needs and challenges.

The Thoddhoo Council raised key issues, including the need for improved health services and the establishment of a better health centre. They also highlighted the lack of adequate school facilities and urged the President to create more opportunities to boost the island’s economy. The Council emphasised the importance of direct consultations between the President and the island’s residents to address their concerns effectively.

In response, President Dr Muizzu assured that the issues discussed would be considered in the national budget. He also announced that the road construction project for Thoddhoo would be prioritised. The President’s Office confirmed that he is committed to addressing the island’s needs and supporting its development.

The President also signed the guestbook of the Thoddhoo Council, marking his engagement with the island’s leadership and community.
