President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the government will provide full support to improve the operation of community schools.

Speaking at a ceremony held this evening at Maafannu Madharusa to mark its 40th anniversary, the President said that the school has a proud history of producing many accomplished individuals.

Highlighting that Maafannu Madharusa is run on a community concept, the President said that this government will fulfill the needs of the school.

"The government aims to improve schools that are run on this concept [community concept]," the President said.

The President stated that the Education Ministry has begun the work of training SEN (Special Educational Needs) teachers to educate children with special needs, and through this work, teachers will be trained from diploma to degree level. He added that this will be done in different phases.

The President further said that next year, the government will build a ground-floor hall at Maafannu Madharusa. He also stated that the government will do everything possible to further develop Maafannu Madharusa.
