Immigration Controller Mohamed Shaman Waheed has confirmed that action is being taken against foreigners involved in a violent incident at the artificial beach on Friday night.
The scuffle reportedly broke out among a group of Indian nationals gathered at the location. During the altercation, a child in the area was accidentally struck, prompting the child’s parents to express their frustration. Before police could arrive, the individuals involved had fled the scene.
In a post on X last night, Shaman assured that the issue was being addressed. He stated that a task force was investigating the incident and action would be taken against those responsible for disrupting public peace in the area.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring accountability for actions that compromise the safety and interests of the community.
