Statistics from the Ministry of Finance show that only 45 percent of the amount estimated in the budget for grants this year has been received so far.

According to the approved budget for this year, MVR 1.3 billion was expected to be received as grants.

However, according to the latest revenue and expenditure statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, only MVR 581 million had been received as grants as of November 28.

This is MVR 83 million less than the MVR 664 million received during the same period last year.

According to the budget proposed by the government and approved by the parliament for next year, it is estimated that MVR 2.59 billion will be received as grants.
