A team of Chinese doctors specializing in thalassemia is set to visit the Maldives for a campaign trip.

At today's official general session of the Male' City Council, Deputy Mayor Ahmed Nareesh said that Mayor Adam Azim is scheduled to depart for China today to sign an agreement for this purpose. He added that the Male' City Council has the opportunity to make agreements with many Chinese cities.

"Among the opportunities currently offered by Suzhou City is a campaign in Male' with a team of Chinese doctors specializing in thalassemia, specifically for thalassemia children, in collaboration with IGMH and the City Council," Nareesh said.

He mentioned that some arrangements have been made for the council, and these matters are currently progressing. He also stated that the City Council has received opportunities for additional trips to China, and they have the chance to take advantage of these opportunities.

Nareesh further explained that Mayor Azim is traveling to China to sign an agreement with Suzhou City to strengthen relations in economic, technological, cultural, tourism, and other fields."
