ACC begins looking into corruption in Baresdhoo project

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched an investigation into the allegations that the heads of the Maldives Integrate Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) spend the money acquired from bids for the Baresdhoo project.

Today, ACC said that they are investigating a case filed about MITDC managers using the deposits from the buyers of the different units on Baresdhoo Project.

ACC said that the investigation has so far revealed that many have paid deposits tot MITDC and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

The Commission also requests that those who have made the Baresdhoo deposit payments to share the information with the Commission.

Those involved are to send their individual or company name, address, paid amount, date of payment, means of payment (cash/cheque) along with any documents that would serve as proof of payment.
