Economic Ministry has launched the Creative Economy Fund.

The strategy and fund for people's skilled economy was launched at a special function held at Dharubaaruge last night. The strategy and funding of the skilled economy are funded by the Business Cooperation Centre (BCC).

The strategy and fund were launched by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed on the occasion. Minister of Language, Culture and Heritage Adam Naseer Ibrahim, BCC Managing Director Ibrahim Ziau Mohamed and other senior government officials were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, BCC Managing Director Ziyau said that the Creative Economic Strategic Action Plan will be full of hope for workers, especially young workers, who have been in the fields of skilled and skilled creative work for a long time. He said the Creative Economic Fund will be an important opportunity to open up for those working in the creative industry.

For the next four years, the Creative Economic Strategic Action Plan has been prepared by forming a special committee for the purpose. The action plan included long-term plans to build a creative economy with 78 promises.

Some of the strategies in the action plan include promoting technology integration, strengthening the legal framework, creating opportunities for marketing, creating opportunities for finance and investment, and building infrastructure for innovation.

The BCC said the creative economy fund aims to empower and grow the country's creative industries. This includes providing financial assistance to artists, creators, and other small businesses.

The fund has been designed in such a way that it can provide sustainable financial support to local artisans and at the same time, flexible and innovative financing schemes will be introduced from the fund aimed at productive projects, the BCC said.

A project-based financing scheme was launched this evening as part of the country's creative economy fund. The scheme is designed to provide financial support to productive projects that are more likely to generate income from ejadi and skilled workers.

Applications for the scheme will be opened on October 10 and the scheme will provide cash assistance between MVR 50,000 - 300,000.
