The People's Majilis has decided not to adjourn during the afternoon prayer.

The last session of the parliament was also adjourned after the noon prayer.

Speaker of Parliament AbdulRaheem Abdulla noted that while the rules for the 20th Parliament were drafted, it was included not to carry out sittings during prayer times.

Therefore, the previous adjournment at 12:30 pm has been changed to 12 noon, he said. The session will then resume at 1:00 pm after an hour's recess.
