The Visit Maldives Pro 2024, which is part of the Bodyboarding IBC World Tour, has confirmed that the event will feature the current no. 1 ranked athlete Armide Soliveres.

Visit Maldives Pro is one of the biggest international sporting events to be held in the Maldives.

Hailing from the Canary Islands, Armide has been making a difference since featuring on the junior level. Armide has also won the IBC World Tour, Junior Title in 2018 and is one of the most in-form bodyboarders at present.

While the men's world title is yet to be finalised, Armide will visit Maldives with 8,848 points on the leader board. Brazil's Gabriel Braga, who is currently second, has 7,786 points, while South Africa's Tristan Roberts has 7,656 points.

The Visit Maldives Pro 2024, to be held in the Maldives from 1 - 9 August, is already expected to feature strong athletes, including Pierre Louis Costes, the men's division champion of last year's Visit Maldives Pro 2023.

This year's Visit Maldives Pro will feature 15 Maldivian athletes this time as well. Four international judges will judge events, one of whom will be taken by the Maldives.

Of this year's World Tour events, there are only three remaining events: those in the Maldives, Portugal and Spain. As far as the current points ranking is concerned, the Maldives event will be more intense this time as well.
