Waste collection timings in the capital Malé City are being changed to midnight.

According to the Transport Ministry's "Malé Fahi" program launched yesterday, one of the main reasons for congestion on the roads of the city is that WAMCO vehicles have to stop after sunset to collect waste in different parts of the city.

Therefore, the government has decided to change the rules for waste collection in the city area from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am every night.

WAMCO is currently collecting waste from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
