Economic Ministry has begun the process of building a registry of Maldivian producers to help them connect to potential buyers in Maldives and internationally.

The Ministry said the initiative will enable the state to provide targeted support to local producers to increase the marketability of their Maldivian products.

Additionally, Economic Ministry said the initiative will also aid in identifying products that can be sold in Maldives and exported to foreign markets on a commercial basis. The Ministry said the registry will also assist in identifying products that can be exported by the Maldives through free trade agreements and other trade agreements with the Maldives.

The Ministry said that it was necessary to understand the challenges faced by those involved in such activities and to help Maldivian producers make progress in the production of goods through various policies of president Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government.

Interested producers can fill the registration form on the Ministry website by 15 August 2024, call 1500 for further queries or email [email protected] the Ministry.
