Maldives Police Service has seized 141 bottles of alcohol from a shop and an apartment in Male' city.

Police said that they raided an apartment and a shop with a court order, following a tip-off.

Police said the search led to the recovery of 141 500ml bottles believed to contain alcohol.

Three foreigners aged 24, and 29 have been arrested and handed over to Immigration authorities for deportation, police said.

Police are currently investigating the incident further.
