Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid has departed to Romania on an official visit on the invitation of the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Meleșcanu.

Minister Shahid is set to hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Teodor Meleșcanu and make a Courtesy Call on the Vice Prime Minister of Romania, Ana Birchall. He will also meet with senior officials of the Romanian Government in Bucharest and explore possibilities of further strengthening the close bilateral ties between the Maldives and Romania.

Accompanying Minister Shahid on his visit is the State Minister at the Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Khaleel, and the Assistant Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fathimath Razana.
