Sri Lanka, Malaysia and India will have overseas polling stations for the upcoming parliamentary elections, the Election Commission (EC) has revealed.
EC Chairman Fuwad Thaufeeq told One Online today that three countries received enough re-registrations to vote abroad during the re-registration period after the parliamentary elections were postponed to 21st of next month.
Those who have re-registered for the overseas boxes so far:
- Voters in Malaysia: 703 people
- Voters in Sri Lanka: 306 people
- Voters in India: 159 people
Fuwad said more than 11,000 people have applied for re-registration so far. More than 10,000 of them have been re-registered.
