The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has opened applications for aid to undergo IVF and IUI under the state health insurance scheme, Aasandha.
Introducing Aasandha coverage for IVF and IUI treatments was one of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s electoral pledges which was promised to be delivered within the first 100 days in office. To begin the services, NSPA had formulated the rules and regulations required for it last February.
According to an announcement posted by NSPA, applications will be open until 02:00 pm on May 15. According to NSPA, aid for IVF treatment will be available this year to 100 married couples who score the highest among applicants.
How to apply for govt aid for IVF treatment:
- Application forms are available at the counters of NSPA and Aasandha and on the websites of the two companies
- Applications should be submitted at the counters of IGMH, Hulhumale Hospital and NSPA
- Email to [email protected] or Viber to 7291402
- The opportunity to submit forms through the Aasandha digital portal will be opened next week
NSPA will notify the applicant by SMS or email within five official days of receipt of the form if the form is complete or additional information and documents are required.
After completing the application, the applicant will be notified within 15 days of receipt of the application whether they qualify or not.
NSPA will notify those who have been scheduled to receive IVF assistance this year within 30 days of the deadline for submission of applications.
