Henveiru Hulhangu MP Hassan Latheef has filed a complaint with Police and EC for damages to his campaign billboards.

MP Hassan Latheef is contesting for Henveiru Hulhangu constituency on The Democrats ticket this time.

In a post on X last night, MP Hassan Latheef condemned the vandalism of billboards and said the matter has now been referred to the police and the Election Commission( EC).

Hassan Latheef was elected to the constituency in the 2019 elections on an MDP ticket, but he left the party in the midst of a controversy within the party and led the formation of The Democrats, and is now the party's president.

Five candidates are in the fray for Henveiru Hulhangu constituency. Apart from Hassan Latheef, MDP candidate Ahmed Saleem (Maaz Saleem), ruling PNC candidate Ali Ibrahim, Jumhooree Party candidate, former Transport Minister Ameen Ibrahim and Independent candidate Naif Shaukat are in the fray.
