School examination dates have been changed due to exam dates clashing with parliament election date.

Education Ministry had previously decided to hold school examinations from April 16 - 27th.

However, the Ministry sent a circular to the schools on Thursday stating that Elections Commission (EC) had decided to hold parliament election on 21st April. As such, the Ministry has requested for second term exams for Grades 7, 8, and 9 to be held between 17 March and 25 April.

The circular also stated that if a school wishes to conduct exam on April 20th, to communicate and discuss with the EC focal point.
