President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appealed to the public to provide the government the chance to operate with the power of the parliament.

During his recent trip to the Southern atolls, the President visited Fuvahmulah City and engaged in a dialogue with the residents. He highlighted the government's initiatives and their significant impact on the lives of the people, emphasizing that the first 100 days of this administration haven't been easy, as evident to the people.

"There are challenges, of course. But the people entrusted us with the responsibility of securing the nation's future. This requires serious and dedicated work, ensuring the people reap the benefits of our efforts," the President stated.

The President stressed the importance of the parliament fulfilling its responsibilities, entrusted by the people, to assist the government in carrying out its duties. He emphasized that this isn't a political statement and should not be interpreted as such. He also expressed his concerns regarding the current parliament's lack of cooperation with the government.

President Muizzu expressed his hope that the system will be rectified, the government can serve the people more effectively and efficiently, and the people will understand the true intent behind his request.
