Allied Insurance Company has announced cash support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Premium for Good.
At a function held at the Allied Office here today, four community fund recipients under The Premium for Good and six schools receiving education funds were announced and cash assistance was handed over.
Community funding for organisations operating within the atolls is provided to the four organisations that offer the best opinions for projects aimed at bringing about a positive change in health, social services, environmental protection, women's and children's rights, gender equality and history.
Allied gave a monetary aid of MVR 50,000 is given to each organisation selected for the community fund.
Organisations that received community funding:
- Naifaru Juvenile
- Milandhoo Sports Club
- Keyodhoo Isdharivarunge Jamiyya
- Blue Guild Foundation
According to Allied, only six schools applied for the education fund provided by the company this year to improve the education system. Based on the proposals, Allied said the company has decided to provide the education fund to all six schools.
As such, a financial aid of MVR 25,000 will be given to each school that has decided to provide education fund.

- Fokaidhoo School
- Maamendhoo School
- Hirilandhoo School
- B. Atoll Education Center
- Mohammad Jamaluddin School
- Madhrasathul Ifthithaah
The projects proposed by these schools include getting books for the library, building study benches, and literacy programmes aimed at parents to expand library services.
This is the second consecutive year that Allied is running the 'Premium for Good' fund.
