President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has urged the public to grasp onto fresh aspirations and exciting advancements, in his New Year's address to the public.

In his message President Dr. Muizzu emphasised the importance of stability and understanding for development. He also advocated for the New Year to be centred on honesty and the pursuit of integrity in the information consumed.

Highlighting that Maldivians have made significant decisions in the past year, President Dr. Muizzu noted that the people of the Maldives have decided that they should experience development, prosperity, and growth aligned with the rest of the world and that they do not want any foreign military presence in their nation.

He underlined that the Maldives has chosen to build future generations devoted to Islam and dedicated to the nation to accomplish this.

President Dr. Muizzu further noted that the Maldives has elected a new government and entrusted it with the task of realising the decisions made by Maldivians.

He also stated that the final few weeks of the previous year and the first few weeks of the current year will see the current Administration fully fulfilling the commitments outlined in the "Hafuthaa 14" roadmap.
