Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has brought forth charges against the three accused in the murder case of Naima Moosa, Annarumaage, who was found brutally murdered in Manadhoo.

Three people from the island have been arrested in connection with Naima's death— Ahuzam Abdul Shukoor (23), Rifash Abubakur (21) and Hassan Fawaz (21), all of whom have been detained pending trial.

Speaking at a press conference held by the PGO on Monday, Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem said that the investigation had not established the involvement of any others in the case, adding that there was sufficient evidence against the three suspects, including DNA evidence. Further evidence would be revealed during the trial, PG said.

"Today, we filed a chargesheet against the three," PG Shameem said.

Naima was found murdered in her own house on April 7, after she had not been in contact with any of her family. She was found lying on the ground with multiple deep stab wounds on her body.

Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem had earlier said that the chargesheet had not yet been sent as the DNA reports required for the investigation were not available, but the case was filed in the court today after the reports were received yesterday.

'One' has learnt that it was Ahuzam who entered the house to kill Naima. Rifash played the role of the lookout while Fawaz was driving the car they took to Naima's house. Ahzam wore a hazmat suit to attack Naima and confessed that he had stabbed Naima.

Based on the information provided by Ahzam, the police recovered two knives, believed to have been used to attack Naima, and the car they were driving.

The police are yet to reveal details about Motive in naima's death case, but people who spoke to 'One' from Manadhoo said that the murder was suspected to be linked to occult. Naima's family also alleged that she was into occult. Naima was not so well-off and as such it was unlikely that she was be murdered for money.

At today's press conference, PG Shameem said that the motive behind Naima's death had not been determined. He had gone to Manadhoo and spoke to some residents about the case. Some people in the island accused Naima of things.
