The President-elect's Office has requested that transactions related to public property be carried out in accordance with law during the transitional phase of the transition.

In a statement, the President-elect's Office said that the spirit of the interim process should be to change the powers of the government in order to facilitate the work of the new government elected by the people and to protect the state's assets, money and financial transactions in accordance with the law so that the new government can allow for the policies it plans to implement for the people.

"However, initiation of a completely new business transaction with respect to state assets and money at this stage and efforts to expedite such transactions and agreements will leave room for the possibility of corruption involved in these processes," the statement said.

"There is a possibility of taking legal action against those who have indulged in illegal corrupt practices after examining the manner in which such acts have been carried out," it said.

"At this stage, it is requested that the traders and all citizens who are engaged in business with state institutions and companies in respect of the state's hard assets and funds should pay special attention to carry out such transactions within the legal framework and encourage them to comply with the law and regulations as well as the state institutions and government companies," it said

The Office urged that instead of trying to speed up such transactions, everyone respect the decision of the people and the spirit of this interim process.
