Sangu TV's Presidential Debate will feature all presidential candidates.

Hasan Jameel, who is contesting the election as an individual candidate, filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) alleging that independent candidates are not allowed to participate in the Sangu TV debate, saying it is a violation of the rights of independent candidates.

Only candidates from different political parties were initially invited for the Sangh debate.

Sangu TV's news head Shahban Fahmy told One today that all candidates contesting from political parties have accepted the invitation for the Sangu debate and this has been done as most of the people want independent candidates to participate in the debate.

In a joint statement, Sangu TV and PSM said that the Sangu debate will be held with the support of the national university and all the candidates have accepted the invitation to participate in the Sangh debate.

Sangu TV's presidential debate is scheduled to be held from 21 am to 23 noon on Saturday.

While the Sangu TV's debate is scheduled to take place on Saturday, the PSM's scheduled presidential debate on Friday night has been cancelled.

Announcing the cancellation of the debate, PSM said in a statement "though we have tried to hold the debate so that all candidates can participate in the elections, we are of the view that since the campaign activities of the candidates are taking place across the country, some candidates are unable to participate in the debate and it is felt that shifting the debate to a later date will make it difficult for the candidates to campaign."

PSM further said that arrangements are being made to ensure that PSM continues to be a part of the debate on Sangu TV.
