Alhan took to Twitter to share that his passport has been confiscated under an order issued by the court. According to the order, Alhan's passport was confiscated in connection with a case in which the King's Company owned by him was accused of fraudulently laundering the money by introducing an investment scheme in violation of the country's financial laws and regulations, promising to benefit investors.

Police had sought an order to confiscate his passport since the investigation would be affected if Alhan left the country. They added that they sought an order as he has the financial capacity to go abroad and and not return back.

His passport was confiscated from August 23 to February 23 next year. The order was passed by Chief Judge Adam Mohamed.

Alhan was also summoned by the police on May 18 for questioning in connection with the case, alleging that Alhan had laundered funds received from the ponzi scheme. The police have also forwarded the case to the Prosecutor General's Office.

The police had earlier raided the office of King's Company on a court order in connection with the money laundering case. His mobile phone was also seized following a court order.
