Jumhooree Party (JP) has said it will complete 30,000 flats and hand over the flats within a year and a half of its rule.

Jumhooree Party answered questions from the public at a panel discussion held in M. Kunooz last night.

During the panel discussion, a participant stated that the promised housing projects are not completed even at the end of the term. Qasim was asked what was the solution under the Jumhooree Party rule.

Replying to the question, former Keyodhoo MP Moosa Nizar, who is part of the Jumhooree Party's manifesto committee, said housing projects are not completed due to the policies of the governments. He said the policy would not exist under the Jumhooree Party rule.

"We aim to ensure that our housing projects are completed and delivered to the people within 18 months at the longest," Moosa Nizar said.

Moosa Nizar said that governments usually carry out housing projects with financial assistance from a foreign country instead of doing so with state funds, which is why there is a delay in starting work.

He said that housing projects get funds from a foreign country within two to three years and it takes another year to lay the foundation stone for the project despite getting the funds.

Therefore, the construction of housing projects will begin in the last year of the term, he said.

However, Moosa Nizar said the Jumhooree Party will finance housing projects with state funds, and if billions can be allocated annually to the state budget, funds for the housing project will be included in the budget as well.

Moosa Nizar said doing so would provide funds for the housing project in the first year of office.

"So, the work will continue from day one," Said Moosa Nizar.
