President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said presidential candidates have nothing further they can promise the public.

Speaking at his campaign rally in Dh. Hulhudheli, President Solih said that his administration has fulfilled 90 percent of the presidential pledges since coming to power in 2018. He said the government has been a successful one.

President Solih said previous governments had neglected the education and health sectors. He noted that his government has built more than 1,500 classrooms and multipurpose halls, introduced free degree schemes, and developed more than 50 rural health centres.

He added that he would set up an ATM, a sports fishing area and an ice plant system Hulhudheli if elected for a second term. He also pledged to pave the roads, develop the health center, and build a new council building in the island.

The President said he was the only one contesting the election with a coalition.
