Dhiraagu has been appointed as the Digital Partner of the Asian Surfing Championship Maldives 2023 to be held in the Maldives.
Renowned Asian surfers and local athletes will also participate in the Asian Surfing Championship to be held in K. Tulusdhoo from today to May 17. The event will feature surfers from more than 15 countries while six athletes from the Maldives will compete in all categories.
Dhiraagu was appointed as the digital partner of The Asian Surfing Championship Maldives 2023, and the agreement was signed on behalf of Dhiraagu by its Director Brand and Marketing Communications, Mohamed Mirshan Hasan. It was signed on behalf of the Surfing Association by its chairman, Mohammad Sobah (Che).
"We are delighted to be the digital partner of the Asian Surfing Championship Maldives 2023 and to facilitate the hosting of this international tournament in our island nation. In order to bring the event to people across the globe, we will be able to enable them to see the tournament completely through Dhiraagu's high-speed digital connectivity," said Mirshan Hassan, Director Brand and Marketing Communications, Dhiraagu.
Dhiraagu's support was also appreciated by the Surfing Association.

After a hiatus due to Covid-19, the event will once again give local surfers an opportunity to make their presence felt on the international stage. Dhiraag has always been supportive of such events to strengthen the sports sector in the country and provide more opportunities to those involved in the field. Dhiraagu's support is particularly strong in many international tournaments held in the Maldives in recent years.
