The national airline, Maldivian has increased its flight frequency to the Southern airports, in time for the upcoming Eid holidays.

Maldivian has been identifying the most in-demand destinations for the holidays, and increasing their flight frequencies to the destinations to cater to the demand. As such, they have increased the frequencies for some airports in the Central and Northern region and have opened tickets for bookings.

Maldivian revealed on Sunday that in addition to those airports, they will be increasing their flight frequency to some of the airports in the Southern region. As such, flights to Fuvahmulah, Faresmaathoda, and Maavarulu have been increased.

The new flight schedules are as follows:

- Fuvahmulah Airport: Additional flights on June 22, 24, 26, and July 3

- Faresmaathodaa Airport: Additional flights on June 23, 26, and July 2

- Maavarulu Airport: Additional flights on June 24, 27, and July 1

- Funadhoo Airport: Flights every Tuesday between June 22nd and August 8th

- Hanimadhoo Airport: Additional flights on June 23, 25, and 27

- Hoarafushi Airport: Flights every Thursday between June 22nd and August 8th plus an additional flight on June 17, 19, 24 and 26

- Thimarafushi Airport: Flights on June 23 and 27

- Maafaru Airport: Flights on 24 and 27 June

While there are a total of 18 airports in the Maldives including Velana International Airport, Maldivian is operating 16 airports in the Maldives. As such, they also restarted flights to Dharavandhoo last week.

Maldivian increases their flight frequencies to cater to the increased demands each holiday season.
