Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) puts a stop to Villa's sale of Vaavehdhi Falhu.

ACC's Senior Communication Officer Nishan Mohamed Didi told 'One' on Monday that the sale was stopped due to an issue submitted to the commission. ACC did not share further details regarding the case.

"We cannot share further information since it is an ongoing investigation," Nishan said.

Tourism Ministry leased Vaavehdhi Falhu to Villa but terminated the lease in 2015 and took the lagoon back.

Ministry stated the lagoon was taken from Villa since the company wasn't developing the lagoon as per the agreement. Villa appealed the case and Supreme Court decided the commission took the lagoon back against regulations.
